Assisted Living Services is the oldest program in the Community Living Division.  There are four assisted living facilities and a subsidized apartment complex that together, provide care to approximately 243 residents throughout Maine.  We strive to help these Mainers maintain quality of life by providing support and assistance for those struggling with the daily aging process.

MaineCare and private pay residents are welcome.  Medical Care Development does not discriminate regarding race, age, religion, or ability to pay. An admission application must be completed for review by the Admission Committee.

MCD's goals are for residents to be as self-reliant as they can be, practice individual choice, retain dignity, and participate in activities within the community as much as they want.  To assist residents in reaching these goals, MCD provides staff with many hours of training.

We are very proud of our oldest program and hope to continue to improve the quality of life for all who reside with us.
